Character Info
Name: Estinor Xisrann
Race: White Dragonborn
Class: Druid
Subclass: Circle of the Moon
Alignment: Lawful Good
Estinor was raised in a highly localized druid cult, primarily raised by her father.
I've found myself in a small town named Rumah in hopes of potentially spreading my Father's word, but as a shocker to me a hoard of skeletons appeared attempting to destroy the small town! Me and several others were able to fend them all but I will admit I did take many damages myself, one of which being an accidental blow by a human man named Zhen Li.
He apologized very intensely though I don't see why he should, it was just an accident afterall. He seems to be caring about the land as well! This is perfect! I'm sure my Father would be pleased if I could bring someone as strong as him back with me!
Zhen and I wandered to the center of the town where I spotted many others who had fended off the skeletons, there stood a man who had rushed into town in hopes to help but he realized he was incredibly late.
He introduced himself as Roran Shaxx, and he invited us to take down the king of this very country Maut, who unknowning to me at the time was a necromancer! I agreed immediately, necromancy is the most terrible thing to happen to nature! Completely distrupting the flow of the world, he must be dealt with.
Each of us woke up at Roran's camp, we have quite the large group with us.
The strong man Zhen Li is here which I am very grateful for!
OOC: Zhen Li is a human monk with blond hair and green eyes. Despite being a monk, Zhen is an incredibly anxious individual who panics incredibly easily.
We have an older man, who looks quite wise, he's only referred to as "Traveler Jon." How mysterious!
OOC: Traveler Jon is a human paladin, he's a man in his 60s with gray balding hair and a mustache. He's a calm and collected leader figure, in combat he is more focused on defending rather than attacking, he's also my boyfriend's character lol.
We have an incredibly tall fellow who has a strong resemblance to a lion, his name is Dran'moor! He seems to have magical abilities.
OOC: Dran'moor Lightdream is a custom lion-like race Warlock. He's polite and wellspoken and has a political background, despite that he can get quite frighening when angry. But in the end he means well.
Next was a shockingly short orc, he was infact carrying Dran'moor as we left as he had passed out. John Dandy was his name I believe, but he makes me incredibly uneasy.
OOC: John Dandy is an Orc Barbarian, standing at 5'6" normally and at 7'11" when raging. Dandy is a good man at heart but like most Barbarians he tends to solve most of his problems with bloodshed, he's also a knight of Surda.
We have a fellow dragonborn as well! Though he is a bit small. Vyth-oth is his name!
OOC: Vyth-oth Arytiss isn't a dragonborn he's a humanoid alligator race. He's also a """ranger""" who only attacks melee. He's simply just a humble fisherman, honestly the oddest character here and we have a few oddballs.
And last we have I believe Ahlymvei was her name? She's quite quiet, but she does have a fascinating little creature with her, I think it's a bird?
OOC: Ahlymvei is a human bard with a sandling companion, not much is really known about her, hell I think most party members interact with her sandling more than her.
OOC: We have 2 other party members, Medrick Lesh the goblin Cleric but his player very rarely is able to show up to the point he doesn't really need to be mentioned. The other is Kr'ook the humanoid frog Rogue, a mysterious but humorous individual who watches the party from the sidelines until later. He's there but Estinor definitely doesn't know.
According to Roran we'll be going to Aberon to communicate to the King of Surda and ask him for help in the fight against Hades.
We were briefly ambused by some bandits, it was quite frightening, however Mister Dandy scared them off by threatening them, but I can't help but feel discomforted by this, my father always told me that intimidation was against nature.
We arrive to Keras, our inbetween point. We all split off to do our individual tasks. I had spotted a church in this town and felt there was something I needed to do.
I need to spread my father's teachings, these people are being lead astray. I needed them to see the truth.
The truth, my Father's word. They need to know my Father's word. The truth, my Father's word. They need to know my Father's word. The truth, my Father's word. They need to know my Father's word. The truth, my Father's word. They need to know my Father's word. The truth, my Father's word. They need to know my Father's word. The truth, my Father's word. They need to know my Father's word. Unknowingly, Traveler Jon had followed me to the church, he stepped between me and the church's supposed leader and escorted me out, maybe next time.
Once the two of us exit, a small frog man comes to us talking about the haunted decaying church atop a hill in Keras that has ghosts and how he requires our help. I was admittedly confused but he seems to be part of our group as Ahlymvei's creature was accompanying him.
OOC: the small frog man is Kr'oook
As each of us enter the abandoned church there was indeed ghosts haunting the place, but as each of us attempt to attack, none of us are able to land a hit. As my staff went through the supposed ghost something clicked in my mind, these weren't ghosts at all, they were illusions, and I notified the party of this fact. We now prepared ourselves to search the church for any clues to who could be possibly causing these illusions.
As we searched for clues while trying to avoid the illusions' attacks, we would constantly hear an echoing voice, warning us and telling us to leave.
Traveler Jon had taken the attention of almost all of the illusions so I chose to stay by his side to make sure he doesn't collapse, behind us I could see Vyth-oth holding the side of his head against the wall, when suddenly he started to slam his body over and over into said wall until it finally collapsed, revealing the individual controlling the illusions. The individual must have had some strange spell casted upon himself as his figure was blurry to us. But before we could process it the building began to crumble.
As we each made our escape, Traveler Jon stumbled onto the ground in exhaution, I wildshaped into a riding horse and threw him onto my back and escaped just before the building collapsed.
As I turned back into my normal form and help Traveler Jon to his feet, each of us turned to the mysterious figure who had teleported out of the building before it collapsed.
I chose to stay back as my party questioned the figure, but thankfully he's actually on our side! I was very relieved. He claimed to be part of a group called "The Core" and it seems that Roran has met this person before as this person gifted Roran his sword.
I did notice Dran'moor whispering to the small frog man for a moment, afterwards Dran'moor casted what I believe is mage hand, distracting the figure for a moment, when the frog man abruptly removed his mask to reveak that he's also a cat-like humanoid like Dran'moor, he seemed discomforted by this though, I wonder why.
(OOC: The figure is reveald to be a Tabaxi, though Dran'moor in general has an unspecified history with Tabaxi, he also oddly enough has an allergy to them.)
The figure quickly pushed the frog man off and reclaimed his mask before leaving.
I felt incredibly tired after everything so Dran'moor and I headed to the towns Inn and collapsed instantly.
(OOC: I was overstimulated as FUCK during this part of the session so I just didn't do much of anything and mostly watched, so while Estinor and Dran'moor were asleep the rest of the party realized we were running low on food so they went hunting, Dandy killed and skinned a bear, selling the bear pelt. Kr'ook eventually set up a tent at camp and then the day ends.)
Once we all returned to camp Roran informed us we'd be meeting with the king, I feel incredibly nervous. It isn't exactly a normal chance for someone like me to interact with a king, I Don't even know what I should or shouldn't do... I hope I don't do anything wrong.
Each of us meet King Orrin, Dran'moor, Dandy, and Roran do most of the talking. Roran explains his plan that his men will stay in Surda to train with the Surdan army, while the party splits into two, one going to Tentara and one to Hantu. We'll meet back up in Medan.
The mayor of Medan is familiar with Roran so he's confident he'll help.
King Orrin seemed unsure at first but Traveler Jon convinced him of it, Dandy and Dran'moor kept arguing however, according to Dran'moor Dandy was being extremely rude despite being one of this King's trusty knights. I was just stuck in the middle of them.
But the King seemed to slip some sort of word, Dran'moor stopped him to repeat himself, in which Roran reveals his real name to be Horus, and that he's the prince and rightful heir of the throne that Hades currently has.
I feel, conflicted, I don't know, Father always said lying of such things must be punished, but, I don't know. I don't know. I don't know. I don't.
We returned to camp to discuss who will be going with who. Once we got there there was someone already at our camp.
They were something I had never seen before, they looked almost like a small dragonborn, their eyes glowed and they had a campanion that looked akin to a small dragon.
(OOC: We meet Pheonix Bretik, a Kobold Wizard, she's a very nervous and strange little thing. She has a mini dragon named Daybreak who acts as her companion and as sort of a pseudo radio if she leaves the party and leaves Daybreak with them.)
She looks so fascinating, I need to know, I need to know more about her, her kind, is she a dragonborn? Is she a child? She seems like an adult. Her name is Pheonix. I need to know more about her.
Dandy placed his hand on my shoulder and notified me that I was staring intensely at Pheonix, I did it again, Father told me not to do that, I did it again.
Father am I doing a good job? I'm doing a good job right? right? right? right? right? right?
Today is the day we split into two groups, Traveler Jon as one team leader and John Dandy as the other.
I ended up on Dandy's team along side Dran'moor and Zhen Li.
(OOC: Also the Cleric Medrick, this is the singular session he's been able to make it to.)
The moment our group makes it to Tentara there are skeletons sieging the town.
Dran'moor immediately positioned himself, he left what looked like a mini clone of him that was constantly pointing towards the direction he is in. Zhen Li rushed in.
As each of us ready for combat, Dandy moves over to me claiming he has a plan, he requests me to wildshape into a riding horse and for him to enter into his rage form and ride atop of my horse form.
(OOC: John Dandy has a feat that gives him a bonus if he is riding a mount.)
I hesitantly agree as I wildshape into said riding horse. I witness him grow ten times his normal size as he enters into his Barbaric rage form. But while working together we take a majority of the skeletons down with ease.
Zhen and Kr'ook seem to be handling themselves well, I watched Zhen have to duck a couple times and Dran'moor from a higher ground shot magical blasts of some sort.
Suddenly Dandy and I are face to face with a giant skeleton, but we manage to hold ourselves well, but suddenly, all the skeletons stop attacking, and a shadowed figure appears.
Dandy returns to his normal form and so do I. Each of us aproach this figure who had stopped these skeletons, the figure was Hades.
Hades went on to explain that he isn't the evil man we think he is. We previously learned that Hades specifically killed his father to get the throne so we aren't convinced.
He claimed he had to as his father was not a good person, but then why did he take the throne from his brother? I don't understand, but, but...
I, I feel confused. His words of control and how his control births freedom disgust me, but, but isn't that what Father would say? No. No. No. Shut up Estinor. You can't say that. Father's word is absolute. But, Hades's words are so similar to his, but Father can't be wrong. Father CANNOT be wrong.
I'm sorry. I'm sorry. Please forgive me. I shouldn't even consider such things. Never. I'm sorry.
I'M SORRY
I'M SORRY
I'M SORRY
I was on the ground when I felt a warmth placed onto my back, someone's hands, I look up to see Dandy.
He speaks to me in a comforting tone, explaining that those who guide us cannot be correct about everything, and though it's good to take their words to heart, it's also important to carve your own path.
My own path?
I felt, tired. I wanted to be anywhere or anything else. Dandy offered me to wildshape into a small creature so he could carry me for now, I became a mouse and was placed in his pocket for the time being. I'm, I'm.
After the, events of
yesterday
we grouped back together with the other half of our team, but once we arrived to the town we agreed upon meeting at it had been entirely burnt to the ground.
As we attempted to search for any hint to what happened but as we did, Hades appeared again.
I, I don't wanna see him again, he made me question Father, I don't want to.
Traveler Jon readied his weapon but he insisted he was not here for harm. After being pressed for details, we find out that this was indeed Hades's doing, but he insist he has a good motive.
He went on to explain that those who lived in this town were reluctant to his supposed freedom and ideals, so they all supposedly left of their own will and afterwards he burnt it to the ground.
Everyone around seemed to barely give him the time of day, as Dran'moor and Dandy struggled to grasp what he was attempting to get across, But, I feel weird again. One should always listen to their leader no matter what, that's what father said, never question him, and yet, why is this man so cruel and yet feel so familiar. I don't understand I.
Unconciously I stormed off, Dandy following me with concern.
(OOC: This is the next split off point, my new team is John Dandy, Pheonix, Zhen, and Vyth-oth, Horus is with us as well.)
As we find ourselves in the next town I feel admittedly, tense. I definitely don't feel particularly well, but nevertheless we need to figure out the state of this town.
Pheonix's little dragon friend accompanied me during this time, according to her this little friend names Daybreak when spoken to, Pheonix can hear what it hears, that's so fascinating! I wish I wasn't such in a bad mood so I could tell Pheonix...
I found myself interacting with a town guard but no matter the question he did not respond to me, this naturally did not help my preexisting bad mood, I will admit I should not have snapped at him, but I do not understand why he was ignorning me.
Though I think I accidentally startled Zhen... He looked scared when I turned to look at him... Are my eyes that bad..?
Dandy informs the rest of us that the town's Inn had been completely taken over by monsteruously large rats, so we agree to deal with this problem, but Dandy has other plans you see. He's been hunting for a creature to train and use as a mount, he was originally looking for a horse, but he thinks a giant rat works just fine, and I agree! I think this is a great plan! Everyone else seems, hesitent though. But I'm sure Dandy's got the best idea!
As each of us enter and we immediately spot said giant rat, it was admittedly not the most aesthetically pleasing creature in the world but all of natures gifts are beautiful in their own way.
It naturally starts as aggresive, attacking Vyth-oth for a moment. But I knew just what to do, I casted speak with animals and started to discuss with the rat, mostly discussing what Dandy tells me to say. We tell the rat that in extange of both becoming a mount and part of our team we would feed him much better meals he could ever get here.
And by some miracle, it worked! I've never been good at speaking with well, anything! I'm so so happy! And so is Dandy! Today is great!
(OOC: I want it to be known that Estinor has a 9 in charisma and that the rat was being extremely stubborn, the SINGULAR reason why I was able to do this was because somehow, SOMEHOW, I rolled a nat 20 on persuasion)
But of course he must rid of the rest of the rats, Kevin is oddly completely fine with this, oh yes! Dandy named him Kevin! What a cool name, Dandy is so smart.
I stayed by Dandy's side as we went deeper into the Inn, Zhen and Vyth-oth already fending off a rat that had entered into the previous room.
But I found myself cornered a bit, I didn't have a particularly ideal spell to use in the position i was in, so I found myself knocked to the ground unable to get up. I was deeply, deeply terrified, and felt, useless, why should I even bother being in combat? I wasn't made for this...
But I look up and see Dandy go into a rage, beating the rat until it was but a blood stain on the floor, was, was he that angry because of my injury? Horus was behind us and he helped me get back on my feet.
Vyth-oth appeared behind us seemingly irritated, Kevin informed me that we still must kill their 'mother', both Dandy and Vyth-oth take the lead as I was very injured, but I stayed close behind just in the event of one of them getting gravely injured.
But thankfully I had nothing to worry about, Dandy and Vyth-oth both easily defeating the mother rat. Zhen showing up shortly after, he's been on edge a lot today... I hope he's ok.
As we begin to leave I see Zhen walk up to Vyth-oth, I couldn't entirely tell what they talked about, all I really heard was Vyth-oth just saying "We'll talk about it later."
We made our way back to the Inn keep to inform him that his Inn is finally rat free, he seems slightly bothered by something... Oh! He was bothered by Kevin! I should've figured, but Kevin is a good rat now.
As we exit the Inn Vyth-oth took Zhen aside, he then suddenly hits him across the face.
Vyth-oth began yelling at Zhen for supposed incompetency, supposedly being a mockery of what a monk should be.
He explained that Zhen had repeatedly accidentally harmed Vyth-oth and failed to attack the rat the two of them were stuck with, this seems to deeply bother Zhen.
Zhen then breaks, and admits to his true purpose to why he came to the original town in the first place. Zhen was forcibly removed by his monk brethren for his lack of balance. Due to his deep intense anxiety and fear he feels about everything.
